In short — we have this set in place to remain a profitable small business. If we only charged $200 bucks there would be no profit left-over after the cost of lead acquisition, moving labor of two employees, insurance, fuel, office lease, utilizes, time devoted to scheduling the move, sales guy booking commission, etc. $420 is for two movers for 3 hours of moving labor, or ($140/hr x 3hr). If you were a mover, imagine getting scheduled to come into work and clock in for only 1 hour worth of pay. It’s not even worth coming into work. At MoveCrew we pay our movers a 3-hr minimum per job, even if they work for 30 minutes. We have high caliber guys on our team, most with bachelors degrees – that can easily choose to go work else where if they are not well taken care of.

Any tips given to our movers are certainly appreciated, but of course not required. However – in the moving industry, we heavily consider a client’s ‘tip amount’ to be a valid reflection of the level of service provided by our crew.

It is our request that you do not leave clothes in your drawers if you have a 2-story home with a turn in the stairwell. Keep in mind we do shrink wrap, moving blanket, and band each piece of furniture so don’t worry about dresser drawers coming open during the move. We prepare furniture to where you will barely be able to notice what it is due to being professionally prepped and protected. If your dressers have granite or marble tops, then we will ask you to remove any contents. Always empty out your drawers for any office furniture, or furniture with thin/weak legs that cannot sustain the weight of filled drawers.

Credit, Debit, Cash, Cashiers Check, Zelle, or ACH payments are accepted. We no longer accept personal checks.

Yes, it would be our pleasure to provide packing materials upon request. When you sign our DocuSign be sure to select this option. We also provide moving blankets, stretch wrap, hand trucks, appliance equipment, dollies, shoulder straps, and tools — as part of our labor service included within our hourly rate.

Gun Safes, Pianos, Hot Tubs, Concrete Planters, Aquariums, and Gym Equipment are an additional charge. Every licensed and insured moving company will have this listed in their terms and conditions. We do not move Grand/Baby Grand Pianos or reassemble saunas.

We don’t know. It depends on how much you do in preparation prior to your move versus how much of the move that MoveCrew completes for you. We can do as much, or as little as you would like. What we do know is our pricing components. Our core pricing component is moving labor, which is $140/hr base for two movers + $70/hr per additional mover ($210 for 3 guys, $280 for 4 guys, and so on).

Unloading a 26ft UHaul will likely cost our $420 service minimum 90% of the time, meanwhile to pack and move a completely furnished 3-story luxury lake home could quite possibly reach $8K+, even within state. Our availability varies based upon the time of the year and what portion of the month you are requesting to move on. For example, summer is our busiest time of the year and peak moving season. The first and last week of each month is much busier than mid-month. In any case, it is best to touch base as early as possible to go ahead and begin the budgeting and planning process. A good rule of thumb is to book your move at least 3-weeks out. It is OK to call us even if you do not know your official moving date.
